Overview

Favourite Widget ("the App") is an Android home screen widget that displays your selected favourite apps for quick access. This privacy policy explains what data the App accesses and how it is handled.

Data Collection

The App does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data with third parties.

The App does not require an internet connection and makes no network requests whatsoever.

Data Accessed Locally

The App accesses the following information solely on your device:

Installed Applications List: The App reads the list of installed apps on your device to let you select which apps appear in your widget. This data never leaves your device.
Notification Access: If granted permission, the App monitors active notifications to display badge indicators on your widget icons. The App does not read notification content — it only checks whether a notification exists for a given app. This data never leaves your device.
Work Profile Apps: If your device has a work profile, the App can display work apps in the widget. This data never leaves your device.

Data Storage

All user preferences (selected favourite apps, grid columns, background opacity, widget alignment) are stored locally on your device using Android's built-in storage. No data is stored on external servers or cloud services.

Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking services. There are no SDKs, no telemetry, and no data sharing of any kind.

Permissions

`QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES`	List installed apps so you can select favourites
`BIND_NOTIFICATION_LISTENER_SERVICE`	Show notification badge dots on widget icons (optional, requires user consent)

The QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES permission is a core functionality required solely to populate the configuration list, allowing you to select and launch your preferred applications directly from the home screen widget.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Since the App collects no data at all, it is safe for users of all ages.
